We don't produce but hunt for whiskies and bottle those that are extraordinary. We started bottling single casks in 2014 from Scotland's lesser known distilleries. Malts that are backbones of famous blends are only known to a select few in the know. Our journey continues driven by passion and curiosity, uncovering malts from Scotland, Ireland, grain whiskies from Scotland and recently we began blending malts, exploring the fascinating world of blending. Our four single malts averaged 91.6 points in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2016 and our Tormore 1995 edition received a Liquid Gold Award. In Whisky Bible 2017, we grabbed 2 Liquid Gold Awards with Peatside 2009 Blended Malt and Irish Single Malt 1999 aged in a rum cask. We won a gold medal at Whiskies of the World Awards in 2017. Chapter 7™ was born in 2014 with the passion and curiosity of our Malt Chaser, Selim Evin. The brand's name was inspired by literature, and the design by distillery wall writings and cask end prints. The typography on our labels come from UK traffic guide signs. As we compile a Whisky Anthology, each of our editions is like a chapter. 7 is inspired by a monologue called Seven Ages of Man from Shakespeare's play, As You Like It. This famous monologue compares the world to a stage and life to a play, and depicts the seven stages of a man's life just like whisky evolving, with wood crafting its magic over the years in a subtly distinctive way. Our bottling choices are not driven by what sells faster. We like experimenting and surprises and sometimes take risks to reveal atypical whiskies. We bottle whiskies from single casks and sometimes we create small batches with two to five casks. Most of the time our whiskies are cask strength and we don't use chill-filtering or colouring to keep all of the characteristics of the whisky untouched.
