Very noisy, the windows are old and they don't have proper isolation, and the building is facing a really busy street. There's no ventilation in the room, and when the people cooks, the smell gets trapped in the room; more than half of the days when I arrived home there was a disgusting odor trapped in it. The TV is old and in my room it wasn't in front of the bed, and there was no way of tilting it. The internet connection gets really slow at hours when everyone is using it. The shower was missing a place to hold the shampoo and soap, which made it very inconvenient when showering because I had to open the door constantly and everything gets wet. Finally, I did transmit all of these concerns to the administration the first day and they weren't able to help me. They said all their rooms where occupied (while in the web there were some of them free in other locations), and when I expressed that I wanted to leave before they didn't offer me the option of a partial refund. I left with 4 remaining days of the room. I prefer to sleep in a friend's coach than stay there any longer, that's how bad it was for me. Avoid at all costs.
Worse than Africa... have you ever been woken up by an incredibly bad smell? Anyone cooking in the building and you will know it... There is no ventilation in the rooms!! Almost no noise isolation, starting with 6 am the traffic noise will be so loud you need music to cover it. The bathroom looks like it was last revamped in the 80s. In the shower you have no place to put your shampoo... first time I see such setup of the shower. Hair threads everywhere... on the bed sheets, in the bathroom... disgusting. Other than that everything is amazing, like in any Vision Apartments location.
Very disappointed about the apartment. The description of my apartment categroy included a sofa/separate seating area. However, the room they gave me is a tiny cramped room extremely noisy. When calling the customer service, they said the description on the website is subject to availability. Neither the size, the picture nor the amenities listed were correct. No refund was a possible. What a disgrace.
The vision apartments in Zurich Oerlikon are recommendable for a short stay, but rather not for longer living. On the positive side they are clean, technically in very good condition and very centrally located. On the other side the interior is worn and old and the windows do not isolate from the noise of the street at all.
Very noisy - old wooden windows do not isolate at all, sunny side - so really hot during the day, not well cleaned so all quite dirty, and certainly needs renovation (broken paint, shower isolation, etc.).. On top of this, when neighbors cook - it smells horribly in the room as there is no ventilation, and afterwards all your cloth stinks of Imbiss.. Not to mention that internet is ultra slow like in a mountain village... I hate every day here.
This place couldn't even be called a 'hotel' ...
