Located in a rural basement in the centre of Zermatt, Pöstli Stübli serves traditional Swiss food. I pretty much liked the concept and the menu but I wasn’t satisfied with the quality of the food. It was very greasy and for me there is a lack of taste even though it really looked good on the plate. The service was friendly. As a Swiss I would rate the food as rather average.

The best fondue I’ve had served with bread and potatoes. And the 300 gram steak was gigantic, and perfectly cooked. A little expensive, but everything was in Zermatt. My friend and I split the fondue, each had a steak dinner, and two beers each which worked out to be 100 USD each.

Very nice traditional food, Fondue very nice, try the truffle and mushroom one. In the higher tier in terms of price. Very intimate and relaxing atmosphere

Good service, live music upstairs and food was good. Rosti dishes not necessarily worth the time compared tp thwir fondue options.

Terrible service , dined at all restaurants at Hotel Post whilst staying there including Pöstli Stübli . On the night of our departure we wanted to taste the apple strudle we missed out on , went into restaurant and asked for take - away , which were not possible . Then went back to do a sit down dessert .The Previous 2 persons (Americans )who came in as we left were seated at bar just for dessert , but when we returned - were refused , even if there was space next to them at the bar by the blond manager. This is called HYPOCRYTICAL to say the least

After a quiproquo about a free table, we had a very good cheese fondue with Zermatt beer and apricot. It was delicious. We took a Tobleronne mousse as dessert. Friendly staff. He took good care of us. Thanks
