From painting to sculpture, from photography to video art, from artistic installations to design (furniture, clothing, jewelry), the Gallery is committed to presenting not only works of contemporary artists, in all their many forms, but also works of artists from the past, thus offering the opportunity to appreciate the ever fascinating coupling of two seemingly opposite worlds which lend themselves to admiration according to individual taste. The alliance between ancient and modern is a distinctive trait in Italian culture: a country with a rich past and a present all to be discovered in the field of art. The culture of beauty, the search for form, the synthesis of design will be the basis of the philosophy guiding the choices at the Galeries Marvals Antique & Contemporary Art. Current exhibitions: - Tacconi-Ottelio private family collection. This permanent exhibitions contains multiple works of old masters. Art collector, Antonio Tacconi, states the following with regard to this collection: ''Why hold an exhibition of 17th-century Italian and Flemish painters? I consider these to have been the two most prolific of the 17th century, both in terms of quality and quantity, with many links between them. In our exhibition we have gathered together works from great masters of the 17th century: Italian painters such as Giacomo del Pò, Giandomenico Tiepolo, Agostino Scilla, Antonio Novelli and even Antonio Tibaldi. Other artists include French painter, Claude Vignon, and Flemish painters such as Pieter Mulier and Jacob van Oost.'' - Daniel Aeberli. With great pleasure we welcome this artist from Neuchâtel in our galeries. From the 12th of September 2019 until the 18th of January 2020 we will exhibit his masterpieces. Ranging from the Lake of Neuchâtel to the canals of Venice and the waters of the Netherlands, he will touch you with his deep and warm paintings. He invites the viewer to reflect and connect with ones emotions, when losing oneself in his art.
