A very interesting and well organized museum that takes you through the history of mankind

I went there with my two children of 3 and 11 years old. It was interesting for all of us. The space inside and outside is simply beautiful and it's worth a visit even if you're not a fan of archeology.

Beautiful artefacts and exhibitions. Mostly from the Celts, Romans and stone age. The park outside is nice too and has reconstructed buildings and lots of nature. It's a modern building with a small restaurant and clean toilets.

Interesting museum about the regions past. If you'd like to read the explanations, bring a torch and a magifier. Very, very small text font printed on sometimes very, very difficult background.. :-)

I highly recommend this museum. The permanent exposition starts with a very nice explanation about the archeological work and its importance. After that, we walk into a decreasing time line, so we visit the Modern Age, Middle Age, Roman Empire, the Celts, until the pre-historical times... a really interesting and nice travel to the past! I saw kids and adolescents having fun there discovering things, so I think it was nice for them too. The audio guide is well done, and not boring at all...

Beautiful architecture and location, friendly staff. But the exhibition feels a bit careless (found missing items and errors) and put together without passion for the subject at hand. A lot of missed opportunities to put the found items in context with more in depth background information. Also, text was often too little, too small, badly illuminated or trivial.

Covers human activity in the region over the past 50,000 years. Many interesting exhibits. For English speakers, the available audio guide (4 or 5 CHF) is a must.
