Friendly restaurant looking at the Alps snow cap view. Nice Swiss Italian food.

It was quite busy when we sat down, seemed like there was only one waiter who was running the terrace and he seemed a little annoyed. Having worked in restaurants myself I could understand. We ordered 2 coffees. Meanwhile I noticed how the waiter was grumbling to people who were trying to ask things, and sometimes giving snappy remarks. And being quite rude to tourists who asked where they could sit. We patiently waited for over 30 minutes. A second waiter asked us if we already ordered, and I answered yes. After ten minutes we asked again to the second waiter, because we saw people getting served that came in after us. and even before we could finish our sentence got the excuse that it was busy and that he asked before if we wanted to order. I don't expect a service with a smile, but talking from experience, you don't take your frustrations out to customers, and certainly don't make excuses or talk back before listening to the question, because it's busy and people try to ask where their 2 coffees are after 40 minutes. When there were in total 4 staff members. If only one person is seen doing all the work, you're doing something wrong.

Our meals were quite tasty, especially the fish & chips. We were not pleased with one of the service staff thou. We were escorted to the table inside but it was really stuffy and warm (summer in Switzerland can be really hot especially this summer where heat wave was reported around Europe). At this point, I haven't even seated down nor even touched the menu, I stepped just near the door wanting to check out the alfresco area which looked windy and empty; one service staff (ponytail blond hair wearing yellow tie - refer to picture circled in red) walked passed and shouted at me "what are you looking for? Your table is here!", I replied politely and friendly "oh it's really warm and I'm wondering if we can shift to the outside...", She continued shouting angrily, rudely "No! No! It's all full, no table outside!" Without a pause, she walked out speedily. We had no choice but to stay inside, then a friendly staff came to greet us, we asked again (because we saw many empty tables, so wanted to double confirm), we were immediately invited to one of the many empty tables outside - she said cheerfully "sure, please come with me!" With a big smile. For the 2hrs we had our dinner there, all those empty tables were empty throughout (as shown in the picture); It really made us feel unwelcome and I don't understand why she had to treat us that way, we are just a decent Asian (Singaporean Hongkonger) family of 3 pax, 1 adult with 2 seniors at their 70s. It completely changed my perspective about Switzerland being famous for being top standard in hospitality industry. The boss and the chef needs to be aware of it. PS: the lady staff (no tie, just casual uniform) who served was very nice and friendly.

Overpriced, not to be able to order fondue for 1 person, but the price is 25chf per person. One would understand that some special dish, that needs a lot of time and preparation to be ordered "2 persons minimum" but not this... The restaurant has 50 tables, almost every table ordered at least one fondue... So let's not call that a "special" meal prepared just for me. Waiter was kind of arrogant and we had to ask twice for extra boiled potatoes that we orderd at first. The fondue was all right, kind of dissapointed about the bread - some dry white baguette.
