My husband and I did 9 days of guided climbing with Frost in August 2018, and we had a fabulous time! We had excellent guides that we enjoyed. They were all easy to talk to and made me feel safe as I pushed myself on my big objectives. The lodging was comfortable with a casual and friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and homemade. Really enjoyed the afternoon cakes and tea, yum! They made it easy for us to have a fabulous time in the mountains. Jeanine and Graham were very helpful at answering my questions before the trip, which I had lots. I really appreciated how easy it was to communicate before hand and Jeanine’s always cheerful response. We will definitely be repeat customers our next trip to the Alps! Thanks for the awesome rope handling guys, I loved all the tiny summits and sharp ridge lines you helped me get to the top of. Extra thanks to Ross for helping me summit the Matterhorn, the last few fixed lines and upper snow field were a challenge for me.
Just a quick note to say thanks so much for providing a fantastic Alpine Climbing Skills experience for three people in mid-September. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Frost Guiding from the warm hospitality at the Chalet Les Criquets, to your mountain insights to climbing Mont Blanc de Cheilon & Pigne d'Arolla from the Dix hut. Excellent tuition, it was great to learn and progress our alpine climbing skills & techniques. I can highly recommend Graham Frost as a guide for a quality mountaineering experience, looking forward to our next adventure with Graham and his team.
I've used Frost Guiding for summer alpine climbing for several consecutive years. They employ fantastic guides who work really hard to make sure you get the most out of your time there and who are also good company! And the valley base in Evolene is easy to reach, very comfortable, the food is consistently great and the atmosphere is always excellent. A top experience guaranteed :)
I’ve climbed in Switzerland with Frost guiding for 3 years and always have a great time, and leave planning and looking forward to the next trip. The website and personal correspondence with the owners is perfect to make sure you pick the right course, choose the best climbing objectives and generally make sure you have as much fun as possible when you’re out there. The chalet set up is always really comfortable and the food is fantastic every night you’re back from days out in the mountains. The guides themselves are at the top of their game giving the perfect balance between encouragement to push yourself, security and knowledge. Even in less than favourable weather you’ll be climbing, walking and leaning on mountains and crags around the local area so a dull day is never on the cards. I’m already planning next year and would high recommend this company for anyone wanting to climb, walk or ski in the alps.
I would recommend Frost Guiding to anyone wanting a great experience on a mountain. My team and I chose to return to Frost Guiding for second year in a row this year because... all the pre-trip communication is always super speedy and really helpful; the guides are professional, great at teaching you new skills and assessing what you are capable of, provide you clear communication both before the mountain and while you are on it, and are just great fun to spend days on the mountain with. Plus when you get off the mountain, the chalet is a lovely home to come home to, with the most delicious three course home cooked meals and the best cake! I’ve just finished another excellent week of ski touring with Frost Guiding. This time it was the Haute Route. Superb guiding by Graham and a well organised experience from the booking stage. Will definitely be skiing with Frost Guiding again.
