This was an amazing place to stay in Bern. The building is centrally located in old town Bern making it so easy to get around by foot and experience the entire city! Rob and Sara have done an exceptional job of mixing the old with the new in this apartment! It retains it's old world charm with stunning updates in the kitchen. Where you may think it lacks modernization may be the lack of television, But to be perfectly honest if you're looking to come to Bern just to sleep and watch tv and not experience the culture and vibrancy of the city...you may be doing life wrong. The Rooms are quiet, comfortable and I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a true Bern experience. Rob and Sara are always one message away to answer any questions or help out in any way.

We stayed in a 1 BR apartment, located right in the heart of the old city. The location is ideal for seeing Bern. The building is over 350 years old and has been in the same family for over 6 generations. The apartment is fully equipped and the markets and shops are just a short walk away. Rob and Sara renovated this apartment and installed a modern bathroom and kitchen, but kept all of the old charm of the building. They were wonderful, friendly hosts, and offered a local perspective which you will not likely get staying in a hotel. A few reviews on Airbnb mentioned some concern about the kitchen and bathroom being separated from the bedroom and living room by the stairwell. I really didn't see this as an issue at all. It's really one of the quirks about living in a 350 year old building, and we never saw anyone in the stairwell during our stay. In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and if we are back in Bern, we would stay in this apartment again!
