I contacted the office by phone. First question: do you speak italian? No, only german, french and english (I go to Basel every year and often contact them, usually the answer is: no but I put you through someone who does, not this time). Second question: until a few months ago your site offered an app called My City Basel where you could browse all the day events, now I can't find it on the App Store anymore, you know something about it? - No. - Ok, so how is it possible to know about the daily events? - You could come to the office in... - So you mean, I stay here a month and every day I have to walk half an hour to your office to know what's on that day? - Yes. - Nothing on the web? - Yes there is a site called 'Programmen (something) - In english? - No only german - I told you at the beginning I don't talk german. - Sorry - So you are an office for tourists and there is no way to have infos in english? - I'm sorry. - Ok, thank you and bye. That's it (and her english was really poor). Then I went back to the site and found that you could browse the events by date and type, in english.

My friend and I were lucky to join Barbara Lütscher (I believe that is her name) on a city tour through Basel. She did an excellent job in moving the whole group through the city, which was packed over Easter, and intrigued us with the charms of Basel in a coherent and pleasing manner. The tour was both informative and entertaining which was much attributed to the way Barbara was giving the tour. She took great care of families coming along in strollers, answered all questions competently and managed to take us all on a journey rather than a lecture. We had a brilliant time, saw and learned lots and very much appreciate to have such a competent and pleasant tour guide with us.

서양인들에게만 친절할뿐 아시안 사람들에게는 거만하고 불친절한 도시 바젤 I do not know why asian people treat them kindly in spite of the unkind and rude treatment of Westerners to Asian tourist. I have never treat western people kindly to visit Asian countries. Maybe German language people looks like racist and have racism naturally.
