The staff at Limmat Apotheke is wonderful and very helpful. I visited them during my vacation in Switzerland this past summer to seek relief from a summer cold. However, I was given a homeopathic product from Similasan called Similasan Schnupfen for congestion. WARNING! DO NOT TAKE THIS PRODUCT! For 72 hours, my sense of smell completely disappeared. I discovered that the main ingredient - luffa operculata - is associated with temporary AND permanent loss of smell. It has been banned in the United States, where I live. I discarded the remainder of the Similasan Schnupfen globules. The staff at the Limmat Apotheke is not at fault - they can only be guided by what the Swiss medical authorities allow to be sold in the country. But it's important to know that this product has been banned by the Food & Drug Administration in the US due to multiple lawsuits from its citizens.
