The food was disappointing....the spicy Ramen had no flavour or depth... my udon also tasted too sweet and felt like it was from a packet..

Very delicious and authentic. Owners and cooks are japanese. Also we have seen many japanese people eating there. Owner and waiters are very friendly and truly service oriented. We had fried chicken and tarra ramen with bock choy and couple of teas. Taste was really exquisite, rich, so pure and inviting for more. They also serve sake, bento and sushi boxes for take out. You can find true asahi beer which you can barely anywhere else. We wish to have more, but Zurich prices probably only allow them to work in small tapas format. Inside area is very narrow, so it is better to reserve your spot ahead of time. It is a good place to pick up your truly japanese takeout and enjoy in the nearby park or at the bank of nearby river. Generally good place if you are craving for taste of authentic Japanese cuisine.
Authentic Japanese that you would miss if you didn't know it was here! Had a lunch special of Teriyaki chicken, Hikari sushi and Katsu chicken - all delicious. Devoured a yuzu mochi ice cream. The portions are Japanese sized. Haven't tried the original restaurant in Markthalle but will do now!
