Opening my account took longer than anticipated however the support was extremely helpful and professional throughout. The trading platform is clean and functional with access to far more products than my prior platform.

Nobody is ever reachable. If you have an account with money in it, you should not have to wait over 30min to get someone on the phone. Either lousy management, cost savings, or both. But not acceptable for a \bank\.
I have been with SAXO bank many years first in another country and then Switzerland. Platform is very good and user friendly. After many years I'm closing my account and will not go back mainly due to three reasons: 1. Customer support is really bad especially in Switzerland. Long waiting on the phone, frustrating ticket system, can't provide basic tax documents and wants exhaustive fees for a customized report which is extremely annoying given money you spend. (Forms as is cant be submitted for Swiss tax and needs to be manually calculated) Also everything takes a day to be processed even a simple bank account addition to the account. In IB, my account got approved in less than 60 seconds, after money transfer, the account was credited in few minutes. On another extreme, I get replied in French while I ask a question in English and my account is set to English. I mean... Really? 2. The fees are very high per transaction vs. IB and especially if you invest to US securities the currency conversion rates are very bad. You pay a good chunk of your profit to Saxo and for what? 3. A lot of capabilities you can do in IB are missing. E.g. futures, options are very limited and even shorting US stocks are not possible unless there is a CFD which is not the case for majority of small cap. Thank you very much for the experience in last 5 years however the service, trading limitations and fees just don't make sense where there are much favorable options. I really don't understand the business model. If you're a long trader with low transaction volumes, it might make sense given the ease of use.
Best online broker imho, consistency over the years with a few outstanding people in ZUR and CPH. For a professional trader I can attest that while you wont always get \on paper\ the best price, compared to others, you get a price when all the other providers pull them, and that really matters. Don't look somewhere else, sign up with Saxo if you are looking.
I started with demo and then decided to go live. It took me almost 2 days before I could deposit - this process could be thought out better... but comparing to other brokers this is a minor issue. They also one of the most stable and reliant brokers.
4 years with Saxo now, managing my clients' portfolios through them. With the right trading volumes you get an account manager and their client support attention. One of the best brokers for fund managers.
I have been a Saxobank customer for over 5 years now. This is a 5-star tech platform supported by a 1-star team in Switzerland on the ground. Super disappointing support team. Just hope that you will never need any support from the team on the ground and you will be fine. Otherwise, best of luck!
You have stable charts we can trust and many product, the saxo web trader is quite good even if customizing windows is often messy and my preferences are often gone after an update. Can you fix that?
