very unpleasant experience at Männerzone tonight I came to this place tonight, as my friend was visiting me. I took him to Langstrasse to show that Switzerland is not stiff and boring. We made a bar hopping. In each place we had just one drink (me without alcohol) - and then we moved to the next one. Männerzone was the 4th place. The bar was almost empty (only a few people standing at the bar, 3-4 people standing in the middle). We stood a bit further away from the bar. The owner brought a drink to my friend - and asked me what I drink. I smiled and replied: “I am driving and I will not drink - we came here only for a 5-10 minutes as my friend liked to have a drink”. Owner: “you have to order” —-without a smile, with a very unpleasant voice. Me: “we are here only for 5 minutes, I just had a drink at the other side of the street” Owner:”we do not sell tickets here - so if you are here you have to order” again with “police” tone: “These is Swiss law” (Gesetz) I really would leave in this moment - but didn’t want to spoil the evening, as my friend already got his drink. So I ordered Water. After the owner brought and put it in front of me without saying a word, I said: “excuse me, I understand that you are stressed. Your bar was closed for 3 months because of corona. I am sorry - I didn’t want to be a thrifty guest, I only would like that you say what you expect me to do in a more friendly way” Owner: “it is not because of corona, you have to order here - that’s it” In that moment I understood how friendly and welcoming Swiss people are. I have been in Switzerland for 12 years and such situation NEVER happened to me. I had always very nice conversations - even if someone was in a bad mood - or I made a faux pas. To sum up: If you do not want to have a spoiled evening - DO NOT go to this bar.

I visited the shop section so this review is about that. If you are looking for a fetish-gear, leather, latex, boots, shirts, toys and other themed equipment, Männerzone is your best bet. Some items have outrageous prices, way beyond my expectation of Zurich as an expensive place. It is quite apparent the staff knows about the product and they are super friendly. Not trying to sell you anything and they let you walk around and simply explore the shop.
Ein Laden der mir wirklich sehr gut gefallen hat. Hier kann ich meine schwulen Phantasien ausleben. Vielen dank an die attraktiven jungen Männer die hier arbeiten.
Sympathisches Personal, günstige Drinks im industrial-look.
Definitiv einen Besuch wert, wenn man eine schwule Bar in Zürich sucht. Sehr zuvorkommende und freundliche Barkeeper. Beim Thema Getränke sind sie flexibel und passen dir deinen Cocktail auch den Wünschen entsprechend an, wenn man fragt. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr entspannend und genauso sind auch die Besucher drauf. 10 von 5 Sternen.
