We bought three rings here within one year but will not put our feet in this shop anymore, and also recommend our friends not to buy anything here. We lost one of our wedding ring only after a couple of months. We visited the shop again to order a new ring. As this was the third ring we were ordering, the shop keeper on the second floor had agreed on a small discount and that they will polish our other ring for free (60 CHF). My husband asked for a written confirmation that day but she said don’t worry, a written confirmation is not needed. After a month on the day of picking up the third ring, they charged the amount for polishing the other ring, saying they don’t remember agreeing on a free polishing service. Actually the ring did not even need polishing, because it was pretty new. We only gave it for polishing because they offered it for free. After spending thousands of francs buying three wedding rings here, this whole experience just left us a bad taste. Lots of back and forth phone calls and insisting they have no memory of this. Visiting a jewelry shop and buying jewelry on Bahnhofstrasse is about having a special and pleasant experience. People pay a premium for it. Otherwise, jewelries are just a piece of metal or a stone that can be ordered on the internet, or buy it in any department store. Unfortunately these people at Meister are NOT aware that their business is all about customer experience - because they are only after pennies.
