We went here late in the evening to file a police report about a backpack that got lost (likely stolen) from a train. Turns out we had gone to the wrong place (this is maybe just an administrative office?), but they told us to just wait a bit and someone would come and pick us up. 10 minutes later two other police officers showed up in a car, drove us to the correct office (next to Zurich HB), and very helpfully explained the procedure and who else we could contact (SBB lost and found, etc). They also typed up the police report and gave to us right away (for insurance etc). Overall they were super helpful, polite, happily spoke english with us (even the form they had us fill out was in english), and really seemed to want to help us as much as they could!

Terrible!!! I thought that the swiss police was better...I lost my wallet and they didn't do anything about it. Just said I had to go lost and found but never said they only receive stuff after 11am there and I lost the train and I didn't have any money to buy a new ticket...

My pregnant wife had her belongings stolen and the police didnt do anything but just forced her to come and stay at their station on the other side of town to give witness statement about the theft as it seems someone else also had his belongings stolen. 5 hours after she was merely left outside the station and not offered any help to get back home. Nobody seemed to be able to speak English which says a whole lot about the primitive status of this station - in a city where 1/3rd of people are expats....

Not really there to serve and protect, totally not really Police as we know in the UK or USA or France. Really they defend their gestapo regime but at least they are not absolute Gestapo like THURGAU Polizei.

Called them to ask for information, they were extremely rude and arrogant, expected more from the police corp of a first class city.
