Cozy coffee shop with good variety of breads and pastries. I like the bank seats inside and the atmosphere. They also have outdoor tables for the sunny days. This bakery is famous for their breads. I tried the sweet pastries, also delicious. Good for people who like brunch, 8:00 until 15:00 on Sunday but better reserve your seats

We visited John Baker a few days ago in the late afternoon, after arriving in Zurich. We went a few times in the morning, and it was really great, with a decent choice of pastries. When we arrived there were a few croissants left and a pretzel. I took the latter, because I didn't want to leave without making a purchase, but oh boy if I was wrong. The pretzel was hard and not good at all. Not a good pm choice I would say.

Awesome bread. Great vegan Dinkelzopf, the seasonal bread also tasted like magic.

Great service and beautiful bakery. John Baker is our favorite baker in Zurich summer we discovered it at their Stadelhofen location a few years ago.

No gluten free pastries although stated so on the website. It‘s a shame, people rely on such information. Also, sales staff pretended spelt bread to be gluten free, so incompetent.

Bought 3 different bread on Sunday for almost CHF 20.- and we’ve been quite disappointed. The bread would fall apart due to the crumbly consistency and my guess is that it was frozen bread from the day before.

First of all, the bread and pastries are all top quality. I think this is the best bakery in Zurich and the prices are more than fair. I can't give 5 stars though because of two things. 1) The quality of the coffee is really not constant and seems to depend on the barista. Normally it is quite okay but e.g. today I got such a sour latte that I didn't even drink it! 2) Staff is sometimes friendly, sometimes not. It is also a pity that there is hardly any possibility to sit.

Probably the best croissant I have eaten in Zürich!
