Happiness Lounge

The reception in the praxis is very beautiful. That already makes a big difference. More importantly, great doctors. Mrs. Pape was very kind and professional. I can only recommend it. Very good service, very competent doctors. I will definitely go back when needed.

They literally are treating patients in the waiting room. Even as people continue to die of covid, they literally do a full procedure of taking the eye cover off a patient and treating the patients eye RIGHT NEXT TO ME IN THE WAITING ROOM! The irony of then seeing signs on the seats where you can’t sit due to covid is beyond me. Then you go upstairs for your appointment and there is literally no privacy. They do your eye test in the hall way. I cannot believe that I am paying so many francs for this. I’m confused. Is this private healthcare or what is this?

Total Eye Damage

Unfortunately, Prof. Theo Seiler has ruined my eye. I have turned to Prof Seiler after an unsuccessful laser eye surgery in the UK. My daily vision was good but I had several night-vision troubles. However, after several operations with Prof. Seiler I see very little on one eye and I am waiting right now for a corneal transplant. My vision is much worse than before and I can barely see anything also in daylight and cannot read with that eye. I am very disappointed because I was not given the full information prior to the surgeries. The operations carried high risks but I was not sufficiently informed about them. Instead, unrealistic expectations were given which caused me to decide in favor of the surgeries. If I would have known about the true risks of the procedures, I would of course not have agreed to perform them. As a patient, I have to bear the consequences and it is not easy to live that way. Therefore, I cannot recommend this clinic to fellow patients.

I don’t recommend the clinic. I got the impression that the consulting/surgery is very standard and not much individualized. Unfortunately, at the surgery day Dr Seiler didn’t had the right equipment ready and we had to postpone the date.

Had a visit for keratoconus, stayed 2h, did all their machines (5-6 tests total) for an awfully expensive bill (450chf). Finally just 1 result was used by optician, and measurements were wrong so I had to do 2 sessions with optician to correct wrong measurements and finally have a correction that works for me. For them you are just a customer, not a patient. Do no go there
