I came here with four friends of mine on a monday evening (8:45) and the terrace was fully packed so we were seated inside where it was rather empty and more quiet. We were seated by the open kitchen and bar, which i always find exciting. First we ordered each different cocktails, which were all very refreshing. I had their turkish twist to a basil smash and my friends had a cucumber flavoured one, which was also very enjoyable. We all weren’t too familiar with turkish cuisine so we went for their tasting menu. First we had sharing plates which consisted of different dips and breads as well as wraps. We all agreed it was very delicious! My favourite dip was the beet goat cheese dip w sweet roasted hazelnuts on top. The second course was a grilled pulpo coated in a flavourful sauce and lightly coated in panko flakes. My only disappointment was the desert which was a “baklava sandwich” with pistachio crumble on top. it consisted of a sort of yogurt ice-cream in between flaky pastry. It wasn’t very flavourful and i am sure turkish culture has much more exciting desserts. The service was fun and attentive, i would have just preferred some more information on the menu as i’d have liked to know more about the different spices and ingredients used. Also i thought the atmosphere inside was lacking in charme. All in all an elevated dining experience at reasonable zurich prices!

It's a very interesting Turkish restaurant at the heart of Zurich's nightlife area. The dishes are creative with a nice mixture of modern and traditional cuisine. Staff was friendly the place was full. Reservations recommended.

It's a very nice place and the food is super good, even the one vegan dish we tried. The service was fast, excellent and friendly as well. Some (not all) dishes seem a bit overpriced for the small portions you get though. And coffee was mediocre. 7,5.- for a poor-tasting coffee with a side of milk is a bit much, even for Zürich. Google doesn't allow half-stars, else I'd have rated it 4,5. I'd give five stars with better coffee and a bit bigger portions. P.S.: make sure to have a reservation before going there

Very friendly Service and crowded Restaurant. Def. Reservations necessary! The Menu is pretty small with diffrent dishes to order or you can get a Gül Surprise for a fixed price with assorted dishes. Plates are noticeably small for the price but the quality is more than making up for it. Awesome ambiente and really good Food.

Very lovely staff. The brunch was great and we were stuffed after (not sure why people say portions are small). Gül is part of this new wave of small restaurants in ZH that actually seem to care about customers and the staff enjoys working there. My only complaints would be: 1 Tables are a bit too small if you order many plates. 2 avoid the coffee and go for tea :) Forgot to take a picture as we immediately tucked in.

Tasty food and nice atmosphere, however, the portions are too small. For dinner, my husband and I ordered two appetizers and three main dishes, each around 20 CHF, and we ended up still being hungry when we left. If I remember well there were also a few (not many) main dishes priced around 10 CHF, if you order those the price-performance-ratio might improve (unless the portions are even smaller).

I went there with my partner and our 4 year old on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was packed, we were greeted and shown to our table at the far right corner, which was perfect with a child. The staff was very friendly and considerate, they reduced the volume of the music playing, offered a activity pack for our kid to be engaged. Food and drinks were quite innovative, service was pretty slow. The biggest issue I had was right next to us there were people with their pet dog, who was sitting up on the same place where we sat (pretty close to other diners). This was a major put off from enjoying the food. I think its great that the restaurant is pet friendly, but this might be taking it to another level.

Very lovely atmosphere, very well designed. Our 3 year old got a full package of stickers and stuff to draw - amazing. The food was very good, BUT the portions are VERY VERY small. I understand we are in Zürich, but this is too exaggerated. Please, @Gül team, do adapt the portions little. Otherwise, very pleased to see such a lovely Turkish restaurant in Zürich. Welldone!
