The experience was unsatisfying. a) Prices were high and quality was low The prices are relatively high and the provided quality didn't meet our expectations. One of the cheapest 300g steaks starts already at about 66 CHF and this does not include any sides apart from a sauce. The taste and quality of the provided steak was disappointing. b) Menus and prices are confusing We had a sirloin steak for which the price was different on the menu with pictures vs. the classical menu without them. It should be more transparent to a customer which price they have to pay. c) Attention to detail was missing The general setup was mediocre with bread that was not warm and provided olive oil that barely had any taste. Another example is that we were sitting outside and the \call your waiter\ sign looked cheap. A silver lining was that our waiter was friendly and answered our questions.

Steak seams to be frozen, I asked for no salt or pepper in my steak and I still got it. Decor was way over the top, maybe for my grandmas taste would be ok. Food came out cold.

While the restaurant looks spot on for an American style steak house, it is actually just a hotel restaurant with a slightly larger than average selection of steaks. The restaurant is located in middle the financial district where nothing goes on in the weekends. As such, we were almost the only guests when we visited on a Saturday evening. The service was friendly, but it was clear that our waiter wasn't an expert in meat or wine, instead he normally worked on the morning shift serving breakfast. Luckily, my friends knew which wines to order — unfortunately it turned out that they didn't actually have all the wines listed on the menu. The selection of meat was pretty standard for a steak house. However, the kitchen didn't do a good job at cooking them: everything basically came out medium to medium-well, including steaks that were ordered rare. On a second attempt, the are\ steak came out medium-rare with a complete lack of juice on the plate as it was cut. The sides were okay, I liked the mashed potato with blue cheese. The New York cheesecake was also nice.

Not great, the highlight was the kitchen and the food. Service was poor and slow. Waiter forgot about us and it a slow night. Sad. Also watched other tables receive table bread but our top did not. It's a small town with lots of options.
