Good place to get glasses. You can have an eye test done in half an hour for 25.- CHF. I would recommend making an appointment though else you might land up waiting a while if you need more then just the test.

I had an extremely bad experience with the contact lens department. I first registered for the preliminary test - so far, so good. After the required vision test, I was offered test lenses to wear for a while. The employee supposed to show me how to put them on and remove them was very impatient, not knowledgeable (did not now about astigmatism correction in contacts) and claimed that she doesn't like contacts. I was sent home to train by myself watching Youtube. Some questions I had for the actual optician (who left in a hurry) were left unanswered - she never called back. I noticed that the correction was not fitted well for one eye and reported it during the next control appointment. I was subjected to another vision test and a correction was made. Since the matching contacts were not in stock, they were mailed home. I was disappointed to notice that I just received a different batch of lenses of the same correction. On my last phone call with them, a very unhelpful employee told me that the manufacturer doesn't produce these lenses anymore, and that I should repeat the process (and pay again!) to find a new fit. Worse, this employee with a heavy foreign accent questioned my understanding of the German language - clearly an extremely unprofessional attitude. I am cutting my losses and will look for another optician.

My girlfriend bought glasses (frames and correction lenses) from here. We discussed with three representatives, each of them giving us enough of their time and their honest opinion. I was convinced that they were not after selling us expensive frames when they suggesting cheaper frames than the ones we selected. Our time was well spent here. They really provide maybe too many options for frames and lenses. Fielmann also offers an eye exam for those who need a new one.

Got here various times. Great customer service, you get an employee that speak your language (English, Italian, Portuguese) and all were very competent, professional and friendly! Many other places should learn from Fielmann. The price it's not cheapest as abroad but the best in Zurich with a great quality, obviously you can get a cheap lenses avoiding the top features (blue filter, anti reflective, etc..). 4 stars and not 5, because for the perfection they should have a bigger frame selection for smaller size, not everybody has a huge face, (but I can bring the frame bought abroad so not so bad), and an online booking would be great.

Ordered new glasses and a frame at Fielmann. 3 WEEKS later got informed that my frame wasn't available. Went to the store a 2. time (45min. with wearing a mask), selected another frame. Got informed the next day that my glasses were broken. So had to wait another week. In short: Fielmann messed up twice, no discount was offered to me in return. Don't go there!

Very professional eyesight test. Very friendly employees. Low sides: you can't really choose which frame you want, they always bring you 5 or 6 from where you can choose. If you don't like any of them, they go back to the depot and bring you another 5-6, but you have to wait like 15 min. Probably the depot is 10 km away and they have to take the train there. It would be better if you had a large choice in one room so that you can try out as many as you want without waiting each time 15 min. Another low side, I ordered my new glasses on the 15th of October. To this day, 26th, they are still not ready.......I mean, seriously, we are living in the so called \secolul vitezei\, the century of speed. They are just some pair of glasses, nothing special. 4-5 days should be the maximum waiting time. P.S.: Today it's the 27th. Still no sign from them.

Fielmann has a very friendly and competent service. From advice, selection and picking up glasses everything was just right for me. They match prices from other opticians. They really make an effort to give you a good consultation. Also the handover of the ordered glasses is very professional and they spend all the time you need to fit, adjust and instruct. They are not up-selling but let you decide what you really need and want.
