DeeCee style has my favorite brands and usually my size. It could be the shop of my dreams. Unfortunately the salespersons are quite annoying. Last time entering the store first guy said “Hi” and I answered. Probably not loud enough, so he repeated the “Hi”, this time quite aggressive. The second guy asked if I need help, which I denied. He ignores that. As soon as I looked at one item, he started talking about similar items they have. I repeated, friendly, that I don’t need help right now. He disappeared and the next guy came. I looked at another item and that guy told me that this item would really look “cool” with me. I told him, that I don’t need help right now, so he disappeared. The fourth guy approached me and tried to start a conversation. I left the shop. Sad. I don’t know if Markus puts too much pressure on his staff or they simply need a training.

DeeCee has a broad selection and would normally be fun to shop at. However, as other people have noted, the customer service can be atrocious — pushy and manipulative, like used-car salesmen in Redwings and tweed. I went in to buy two Barbour jackets as gifts. When I tried to find the colors I wanted, the older salesman helping me said Barbour only makes the Beaufort wax jacket in the two colors DeeCee had stocked, olive and navy. (There are five colors, which has been the case for years.) I mentioned that the olive wasn't the classic waxed cotton, which I wanted, but Sylkoil, which I didn't. He said flat out that I was wrong and the olive was the exact same material as the navy. This is untrue and has been untrue for years. When I asked to see a size 40, he insisted on showing me a size 42, telling me, in essence, that I didn't understand how it was supposed to fit. When I asked to see the size 40 anyway, he made a show of going to the back and returning to say that their size 40 was \out on a photoshoot\ and wouldn't be back until Monday, by which point all of the Barbours would be sold out and they wouldn't restock until the spring. (He also kept saying that if the 42 was too big it could be exchanged — how could it be exchanged if they'll be out of stock for months?) I've bought Barbours before and knew what I wanted. I came for one thing, and the salesman tried to bully me, quite condescendingly, into buying something entirely different because he had it in stock. And he told me several bald-faced lies in the process — or he is aggressively uninformed about the product he's selling. I'll be buying my jackets elsewhere.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff who are genuinely passionate about their products
DeeCee offers a fantastic variety of handpicked clothes and shoes that you rarely find in these parts: Redwings and Wolverine boots are just two great examples here. The staff knows their what they're selling and are happy to help. Which can be great, but if you just want to browse, prepare to feel watched.
Very expensive great clothes in Zurich. I had to give 5 stars because the service was so excellent. No other way to put it the staff helped out decide a perfect jean jacket for my girlfriend. We are students so we don’t have a lot of money and he gave us a student discount and invested a lot of time into finding our perfect fit. She tried on most of the jean jackets in the store and he was helpful always with advice and background information and history about the jackets since we wanted a vintage one. Nice picked selection here worth a visit.
Quality is the first thing to come in mind when thinking about DeeCee. Everything that is sold here has excellent attributes and is of outstanding quality. The staff is really knowledgeable, cheerful and very helpful. They always provide an honest and authentic opinion. Conpared to the quality one gets a great price-performance ratio.
I came to know DeeCee while browsing through the web shop of a premium leather jacket brand. Their store locator reported DeeCee as point of sale in Zürich. So I went there and was able to try the jacket of that brand and of other, less famous brands. The advice was fantastic, friendly, efficient: every model I tried was really worth trying, they always brought me the right size straight away and gave me useful feedback on the fit. So, in the end, I got an excellent jacket, that fits better than the one I originally was looking for in that internet shop. And the price is not far away from the web :-)
