A fantastic place, for both newbies and experienced actors! I had been in other theatre classes in the past, but CET is beyond anything I've ever experienced. A truly creative hub, managed by a team whose passion and dedication can be seen in everything they do. Expect fun, self-discovery and challenge! Our play in December was pure magic, a result of the hard work and commitment shown by our directors and playwright, as well as our extraordinary team of actors. I look forward to our next journey!

Close encounters is an incredibly professional company. They nurture young people's love for theatre and give them opportunities to grow. They pour their hearts into every production. Their skillset is phenomenal and they are highly knowledgeable. I have been in multiple productions and consider it the best theatre company I've ever been a part of.
Close Encounters has provided opportunities for my children (ages 13 & 18) to grow as actors in a variety of performance methods and styles. I appreciate their ability to think outside of the box during challenging Covid times. The professional quality of the final productions are impressive.
My daughter joined CET when they started. It was an amazing experience and she learned a lot during a very short period of time. Tara and Jo are incredibly talented directors who are very good at sharing their knowledge and making the students grow and develop as actors.
Whether you just started acting or are already a professional there is something for you at CET Zurich! From my experience, people who join are usually foreigners because the language is English. So, it is a nice opportunity to mix into an international crowd. But most importantly, the artistic director Tara is sweet and helpful and her love for theatre/art is contagious. -Mavi N.P.
Being part of a theater show for my first time was such an amazing experience! We started from nothing and we made magic :) Tara has so much creativity and energy, I was always trusting her about the success of the project!
As a parent you look for opportunities for your children to be nurtured in a professional environment that pushes them to the best of their abilities and beyond. CET has provided that environment and more. The directors are supportive, talented and demand the best of everyone in a loving manner. The productions are Broadway caliber providing the children with an unparalleled experience. The skills they learn are beyond acting. I had never performed in a play before so I wrote Tara about my concern of possibly being the only newbie among experienced \stars of the stage\. Tara was very encouraging and supportive in her response and I am glad I hesitated no more about joining! Tara rocked throughout the process encouraging and supporting us to bring out our best and - voilà! - we made a brilliant ensemble and a fab show. I learned a lot, had loads of fun and an unforgettable experience on and off stage!
