If you want have to get the sun's rays during lunchtime then this is the place. There's both a self-serve area with fried & grilled food, and a sit-down restaurant. It's mainly a beergarden that also hosts Oktoberfest. Food is ok; you mainly come here to sit outside with a beer, which is very pleasant when the weather's good and also offers many shaded areas under trees.

If you want to visit the restroom you pay 2 francs and you would get voucher but if you ordered something before and are planning to leave they will not cooperate with you and you will be forced to either pay to use their restrooms as a customer or to consume again. This after asking politely. Another customer went over the payment infrastructure... weird business idea...
Unfriendly staff, but nice place for going out in the pandemic situation.
Went to the restaurant portion (not the self service bit) and it decent enough. Pricey, but it's downtown Zurich so what do you expect, and food is alright. Had the special risotto, which was pretty bland, others had some nice lamb and tartare which were good. The view over the river and lake is nice, and there is live music with many sweet older couples dancing.
The location is hard to beat, however the concept is a bit cheap (wine is plastic cups). No need to be fancy but the previous concept was simple but solid.
