The view from just outside the front door of the hotel. As for the hotel it certainly hit the mark. Room and bath room were high end and very comfortable. And quiet. Breakfast was super and getting a drink at the bar made for a great way to end the day.

Excellent! My new favorite hotel in Zermatt
Stayed for a week in first full week of January. We lucked out and had a suite with a view of the Matterhorn which was fabulous. Suite is really spacious and well laid-out, so makes for a nice place to relax after a day's ski-ing and before going out for dinner. Hotel is stylish and the service was great. It's in a really good location for the ski lift - a couple of minutes walk to the lift to the Matterhorn Express gondola which can take you up to the glacier area or transfer you to the other ski areas of Riffelalp etc. Personally I preferred it as a start to the day to taking the funicular from the other end of the village. Breakfast is also very good. Spa is nicely laid out although the sauna is in the 'naked' area - not to everyone's taste.
Amazing hotel. Excellent location just 5min walk to Matterhorn Express gondola and a 2min walk to the green line bus stop that goes to the funicular. Your gear is stored in locker area with heated individual lockers to dry your gear for the next day Only downside is the 10min walk into town but just enough to walk off dinner. The included spa and zero gravity jacuzzi hits the spot after a long day of riding.
