Having heard very good things about Jenni, I contacted her to prepare for the “Goethe-Zertifikat C1”. I wanted to focus on improving my oral skills. Jenni built up a super efficient program tailored to my needs. In only a few weeks I was ready, and to my great joy I successfully passed with honors. I would highly recommend Jenni to anyone!
I had the great fortune of being paired with Jenni as my German teacher when I moved to Switzerland six years ago. I opted for private lessons instead of a group setting because I thought that'd best match suit my hectic work and family life. Jenni got me from a B1-level in German all the way through passing the C1 exam in a very short period of time. Additionally, she always was up for matching our conversation topics to themes that matched both my interests and needs. Jenni is informative and professional, yet approachable and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her as a teacher to anyone.
Wonderful and friendly German teacher! I worked privately with the teacher and was able to quickly progress to conversational German. I enjoyed my classes which made learning German fun!
I had a wonderful experience learning German in this facility. I am an American student who will be studying here for a year and really needed a jump start on learning the language for my studies. After reviewing many options I found that most local \classes\ were already in the middle of their sessions and the other options were either too expensive or poorly rated. Luckily I found Language Kitchen! Jenni, my tutor (and I believe the main/only tutor), catered every lesson to my exact needs and learning style. We would learn German in relation to events occurring in my life and even form sentences and conversations so that I could tell other people about my week or my family. She would also make absolutely sure that I received a solid hour of strictly learning German (meaning that if we got off topic or I walked in a couple minutes late she would try her best to compensate with few extra minutes at the end of the lesson). Throughout the sessions she'd also print out many practice sheets that helped me and even recommended an incredibly cheap yet very helpful practice book that she had researched and found. The book was 30 CHF and included 250 pages of practice work, two CDs that coincide with each chapter, an app that has the pages and CDs downloaded so that you can listen on your device and an answer booklet. Also all of the pictures are colored and it even has vocab lists (in the book and on the app). My intensive german courses have now started and the required book for the class isn't nearly as helpful as the one Jenni found. I also felt as though she really knew how to help me pronounce words as an American learning German. I did not realize how difficult this would prove to be but she made it far easier in the end. If there are any other English speaking students reading this please let her help you pronounce your ä, ö, ü 's because these are not sounds we are accustomed to. Anyways I would DEFINITELY recommend this school!!
Ich hatte schon immer Mühe mit der deutschen Sprache, da diese nicht meine Muttersprache ist. Während meiner schulischen Laufbahn (bis zum Abschluss der Kantonsschule) gehörte ich im Deutschunterricht immer zum schlechtesten Drittel, weshalb meine Eltern und ich beschlossen, Nachhilfeunterricht in Anspruch zu nehmen. Meine Lehrerin hat zu Beginn meine Schwächen ermittelt, um mit mir gezielt an diesen gearbeitet. Einerseits begannen sich nach mehreren Monaten meine Noten im Unterricht zu steigern, andererseits konnte ich mein Deutsch sowohl mündlich als auch schriftlich markant verbessern. Ich kann meine Lehrerin nicht nur wegen Ihrer fachlichen Kompetenz weiterempfehlen sondern auch wegen Ihrer Sozialkompetenz. Ihr Engagement ging über die Lektionen hinaus und sie wusste mich stets zu motivieren
Ich besuche seit längerem einen Business Englisch Kurs bei Language Kitchen (1 Stunde pro Woche). Es wird sehr spezifisch auf die Bedürfnisse und den Lernfokus der Gruppe eingegangen. Speaking kann so auf ganz ungezwungene Art und Weise geübt und verbessert werden.
