When people say \Swiss quality\, the staff of this place comes to my mind. My wife and I got there up in the mountain and... we were wearing non-appropriated shoes. Not only the cable driver instructed us on how to proceed but he also came after some time with \snow hiking anti-slip grips\. Let me put it this way: he took us there safe. His job was done! But that professional made much more: he saved our trip! Without his act, we would never had explored around or even went to the Aescher restaurant! I highly recommend it: for the amazing place AND people.

If you travel by train you will have to go all the way to Wasserauen and across the street from the train station you will find the station. It will take you about 5 minutes to reach the summit (Ebenalp). There is a restaurant up on a hill as well as hiking trails one of which will lead to this famous Aescher house as well as the Wildkirchli caves and chapel(access might be closed during the winter though). Amazing views, you won't be disappointed!

If it was possible to score minus I absolutely would. Filling a cable car to it's maximum ca. 30 people is not on! Allowing people on without masks is borderline criminal.

My wife and I had an amazing day hiking the mountain. The view from the top is amazing. Will return one day to try the Paragliding!

A bit pricey, at 31CHF for a return journey, but the hiking paths at the top are entirely worth it. You might consider just the ascent and hiking back down if you want to save some money. Funiculars are absolutely packed despite C-19 measures as there appears to be no compliance with social distancing. Masks are compulsory. Halbtax is accepted.

I took the Ebenalp Luftseilbahn yesterday. I was really disappointed at the lack of any social distancing measures on the cable car. Even though there were not that many people waiting, the staff was determined to fill the gondola to the maximum. They didn't even check if everyone was wearing a face mask.
