I enjoyed the visit to this medieval castle very much. It is very well maintained. We got a map with descriptions from the ticket office and it was very helpful in explaining the different parts of the castle. The routes in the castle were clearly marked, so it was easy to navigate. The room with different cupboards was interesting too. You will need around 1.5-2 hours to fully appreciate this castle.

Super beautiful visit. You can take a bus that stops in front or walk, like I did. The walkway is gorgeous
5 stars for just the view from this place. The Alps, the lake make a perfect picnic spot when the sun is shining ️ we spent hours at this place admiring the view
My favourite of the castles in Vaud Chillon is a grand medieval castle, built on a rocky outcrop on the lake hence a favourite with divers. Recurring events like the medieval market are a good option to see the castle alive. Otherwise you can join the hordes of visitors. Access is easiest by train or bus alighting at Veytaux-chillon and taking the lake side trail. For the more sporty, this trail goes all the way to Vevey and Montreux (45 Minutes walk). Available for private events
Great visit at Chillon castle. First time here but built it out of paper several times as a junior. Now showed it to my kids. Use the great audio tour / also for kids - impressive way around the castle, news and content. Start early in the morning
The lake that seems like an ocean with a part of history quietly tucked over its edge, overlooking, is Chateau Chillon which is, in every way mesmerizing and a definite place to visit when you are in Montreux. Lovely park and surrounding areas with good amount of parking spaces, affordable rates(around 12chf) and an average priced buffet/restaurant. Easily a half day trip can be made out of this with friends and family.
It’s huge and looks so majestic from outside. The weather was nice and we had a great view over the lake. But unfortunately we couldn’t go inside because regulations keep tourist attractions closed.
Just for sheer beauty of the palace - from outside , its location and surroundings of this place. This palace gets a 4 star. Though I am not a palace / museum kind of person so it will not be fair if I review the castle. If you have spare time and interested in history, you can easily spend close to 1.5 - 2 hours inside the castle discovering them. Don’t forget to take boat cruise from this castle.
