We received a letter from a fuel station we have never visited, or even been to the same town, claiming we had left without paying and demanding 60 francs. We took it to the Vevey police station and the police woman at the desk kindly agreed to phone them on our behalf in view of our limited French. It was lucky she did because she had to explain to them several times and at length, it took quite some time, that they must have misread the number because our car was a different make and colour to the one that had done a runner. There is no way we could have convinced them ourselves and we are extremely grateful that she went above and beyond the call of duty to intercede; as newcomers to Switzerland we don’t want anything to cast a shadow on our good name.

I was here for asking infos about basking in Vevey. The police is quite nice and clear. It's amazing: in order to bask you need to do a music audition at the police station.

Une bande d’incompétents et de voleurs ! Je me retrouve avec un rappel d’une amende que je n’ai jamais reçue de 200 franc ! Alors que l’amende de base était de 40 !!! Bravo les escrots je n’ai pas le temps ni la patiente de partir au tribunal avec ces escrots mais Dieu vous rendra la monnaie de vote pièce
