Traveled with a group of students and adults and we loved this hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Food was delicious and couple running it were fun and very accommodating. The view of the hillside with grazing cattle and the lovely sound of cowbells was restful and very Swiss. The drive to Lucerne was gorgeous. The area was quiet. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit hard for my taste, but my husband thought it was fine. Didn't use the pool, but it was huge! The old helicopter outside was interesting to look at, too.

Awesome place to stay. Rooms are quaint but comfortable after a long day of hiking. Food is fantastic. Owner and staff are very accommodating. Kitchen is open late and the pizza is extraordinary. I hope to be back one day.
Very nice hotel in a beautiful pool. The hotel features a large pool which is very comfortable and has a nice view of the mountains. The hotel's restaurant is also very nice where we'd had fondue and breakfast.

Such a lovely and quaint hotel in an area that has everything a nature-lover can ask for! As soon as you walk onto the property, you will be in awe at the wonderful red building with an amazing scenery behind it. It just gets better as you move inside, as we were greeted by the friendliest hotel workers we have ever dealt with. So very pleasant and accommodating, it was very nice to be welcomed in such a way. The rooms were big and the decor was exceptional, including the red pillows and covers on the large and comfortable bed. The best part of this hotel is that it is so close to everything that you would want to see in a Swiss town! The mountains, the walking trails, it includes a great restaurant inside and everything else you need to have a relaxing time is right in front of you. As a bonus, they also have a sauna inside for your use! Everything was kept clean and very professional, yet extremely friendly to make you feel like you are right at home. This is a definite for anybody looking for an authentic Swiss feel during their vacation.
We went as a group and all got ripped off when drinking. They would not let us pay night by night, the price changed and they didn't keep record of how many we had so they came up with a number at the end. The price of beer is for a small but they don't tell you that.
My wife and I visited this gorgeous hotel several weeks ago and we were extremely delighted with everything about our stay! The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming upon our entrance and we were very happy to see how well kept the lobby, rooms and hotel in general were kept. As we were visiting for an anniversary trip, we treated ourselves to a breathtaking massage the next morning and had some delicious brunch. The hotel is surrounded by a landscape right out of a postcard and we were thrilled to be able to both walk and bike around the town to enjoy the nature. We then ate at the restaurant, which offered gourmet cuisine and retired to our large room. All in all, we were very impressed and loved the combination of homeliness but professionalism from the staff. I would not be surprised if we were to visit the hotel again for our next anniversary.
