Reclining figure: Arch leg. L’une des réalisations les plus monumentales de Henry Moore. Evoquant une thématique chère à l’artiste britannique, celle de la figure couchée. Henri Moore's signature form is a reclining figure. Moore's exploration of this form, under the influence of the Toltec-Mayan. Henri Moore awarded the Companion of Honour in 1955, the Order of Merit in 1963 and Erasmus Prize in 1968. Here in Geneva, Parc des Bastions you can see his Reclining figure: Arch leg. In 2012, his eight-foot bronze, Reclining Figure Festival (1951) sold for a record 19.1 million at Christie's, making him the second most expensive 20th-century British artist after Francis Bacon.
