We hiked across Valais for a week and this was the best dinner we had! Traditional alpine food is elevated to a new level and salads are unlike most assemblages of shaved carrot, canned corn and iceberg lettuce we usually encounter in Switzerland. Looks and smells like Christmas inside this restaurant!

Great little cafe to recover after skiing down
New management since last year. The place has kept its charm and the manager and staff are friendly. The good regional selection of wines offered remains a strong point (although I wish the open wine would not be all from the same winery, \Renaissance\ when I visited). While the dish presentation was nice, the cheese bread slice (croûte au fromage) I experienced was made with cheese that felt like gum. I hope they will correct this. Meanwhile the apple crumble was excellent.

When open its a great place with great food and great service. Love their aclette\ and homemade polenta.
