We were celebrating the soutenance from EPFL in this refuge. While everything sounds perfect on paper, the treatment of the staff is horrible. Only due to the nice location (really nicely located in Renens, but not too close to any neighborhood to bother people at night) and the good facilities (toilets, kitchen, fridge freezer, dinnerware), I give this refuge 1 star. But I would not recommend it to anyone. -people only speak French and don’t make any effort to help if you don’t understand every word (yes, you cannot expect them to speak English fluently, but it is definitely a point to consider if you are not a French native speaker!) -there is a deposit of 200 CHF in cash without any receipt. Normally, I would expect to get the money back if the property is treated well (cleaned, nothing broken,…). However, in this case, they kept the money for the reason a) that the chairs weren’t stacked in 6, but in 5 and 7, b) 2 plates and a bowl weren’t at their place in the cupboard and c) I had 4 bags in one corner of the room to put in the car in the morning before we met. This does not justify to keep the deposit and it rather seems to me that this is how this refuge is run as the price of 250 CHF is too cheap for such a location. So if you think about renting the place, calculate with 450 CHF rather than just 250 CHF for the night! Or look for something more respectable.

The best place for events
C'est un peu périlleux avec des enfants en bas âge à cause de la forêt, pas qu'ils se blessent mais sinon c'est sympa. Et même si on surveille bien nos enfants, on ne peut pas les attacher s'ils souhaitent courir
Gardien qui parle mal. Retiens la caution pour aucune raison. 500.-- balles de caution et 250.-- pour le louer !!!!!! Extrêmement cher et mauvais.
Quel bonheur d’être dans ce lieu idyllique et être reçu par ce gardien si proche de nos demandes. Merci
Il est bien mais pas bcp de places de parking pour fete un anniversaire
Joli refuge, spacieux. Il manque une raclette pour nettoyer la plancha! Il est indiqué que le barbecue et bois sont inclus mais il faut explicitement le demander au gardien. Je ne mets pas 5 étoiles à cause de ça. On a essayé de joindre le gardien plusieurs fois, il a répondu au bout de 30 minutes et nous à dit que c'était en supplément !
Nous y avons fêté avec les collègues du travail et c'était superbe. Très bien organisé. Dommage que on ne peut pas y arriver en voiture et pour certains c'est un peu long la promenade. C'est bien de pouvoir utiliser le parking.
