Super Nice people. Anders a bless to have a place like this at this shaving location. Great stay after a long hike!

This refuge was taken over by a new owner recently. An excellent new team runs the hut, with lovely food for a reasonable price!
Good view point, but poor weather.
New owners, looks nice!
Our group of four women from the US stayed in this refuge in early September 2018. This refuge has very recently been taken over by a new owner and our experience was completely different and much more positive than those who stayed before. I expect anyone staying in 2019 will find the place fantastic as the new gentleman is planning major updates. But I want to stress please don't judge it based on older reviews. Anyway the night we stayed here we were in rain, wind, and low visibility all day. We walked in to find a warm wood stove going in a small, rustic dining room. The refuge was with limited electricity and water, one toilet, and no meals being served. We cook our own dinners as did everyone staying. I think there were four rooms total, ours had beds for 10 or 12 people but only 6 of us in there. We were able to buy snacks, cold beer, sodas. I'm not usually social, but there were so few of us and the woodstove was so nice that it felt more cozy than usual and encouraged us to hang out talking. Hikers showing up expecting something like Rifugio Bonatti would be very disappointed, but we are tent campers who were happy to be out of the weather, find a place that wasn't full or super expensive (we paid 10 euros for the night). It wasn't spotless, but it wasn't gross or dirty. I wish the owner and his sister the best with his renovations. We were treated well here and would love to see it again.
The other views are true, but I personally want offended, instead I found it a little quant. The chocolate chaud was good, and it was nice to feel like I was in the living room of a slightly irritable old lady instead of the overly false feeling one gets in more tourist focussed refuges. Certainly a more memorable experience than many of the huts! I will pop in again next time I pass. Worth noting you can buy in Swiss France or euros, but the prices in euros are _way_ cheaper than francs.
want a view .. but hard trekking
Absolutely rude and extremely unfriendly and unpleasant owner. Stay away from this establishment.
