the location is haunting in the mist and snow, a fabulous spot, as authentic as it gets. Always found the duty personnel pleasant and efficient (although I had no merchandise). A definite no-no route for any activity against the law. They really do not like that kind of activity. You've been warned

... Comment, il y aurait une douane "internationale" au Châtelard? ... Habitant Chamonix, et osant négliger ce très beau lieu Vallorcin, le Châtelard me semble être une porte d'entrée de Émosson puis la commune voisine de Martigny : les gens sont tellement comparables de part et d'autre !
