A very well curated museum! All the displays are only on German though, except for the new exhibits (which are in German and English). I still recommend checking out their full collection even if you do not speak German as they have a very interesting collection of artifacts!

Lots of specimens and found the Swiss specific section very interesting. Unfortunately, it's all in German. French and Italian would have been welcome. English would be more helpful for tourists. But overall a nice visit and recommended.
This is a great outing, especially on the first Sunday of the month when normal exhibitions are free at most of Basel-Stadt's museum. The different rooms cover a variety of topics will well designed activities for kids. The current covid measures hamper your ability to fully interact with the exhibition but nevertheless, it remains a very nice visits. Topics covered include : natural history, geology, local/Swiss fauna and flora and global warming. It's a 60min visit if you for for it, otherwise 2hrs will allow you to take your time.
Very beautiful museum. One of the most impressive museum that i saw. Many exhibits worth seeing. I highly recommend this museum.
Well worth a visit to kill an hour when in town, good to see on a rainy day. Cheap, and 4 floors of interesting stuff to see............a woolly mammoth which is pretty cool, fossils and dino exhibits.........brought my son who enjoyed it.
Inspiring: broad variety of exhibitions. e.g. wildlife photography. Family friendly.
Small but pleasant museum 60-90 mins is enough. Audio guide is in English. The wooly mammoth and the human evolution section are the favourites
We liked it a lot, its not as large as some Natural History museums but it is enough and the kids were very engGed
