A really nice exhibition on Ernst Kreidolf's work and the tour guide, Julia, was excellent! Thank you.

Regularly come here for excellent exhibitions, and this time for a wonderful show about Hodler. Great experience and great staff!
10 CHF and about 30 artworks \u200d️ Temporary exhibition is just a really contemporary and not well known artists’ staff - which is not worth ((( Art is should be free - especially in a such rich country, if you want people of all social levels could attend it instead of doing something bad in the free time
So beautiful, with so much history. Very walkable. Locals are friendly. Beware, restrooms are hard to find and charge 1 Franc to use.
I love and have been to many art galleries , however on this occasion I regretted the time and money spent. Arriving at the ticket desk and being asked which exhibitions we wanted to see, threw me off a little, as was not familiar with some of the artists suggested and basically made the wrong choice! ! It would have been more helpful to ask us if in addition to the MAIN exhibition ( ie:) did we want to see any of the temporary ones. ! Ticket explanation was not clear , and I had to ask for a floor plan which I would have expected to be freely given to us in order to find our way to the temporary exhibitions we had chosen which were on 3 different floors. Staff at entrance were helpful and museum building itself is beautiful externally. A little on the expensive side for us.
The museum has a small, but outstanding collection of art. Everything is wonderfully framed, oh yeah! The best thing tho is the insanely good cherry pie and a delicious espresso at the museum coffee shop upstairs.
Good museum with mostly local artists (many paintings from Ferdinand Hodler and Felix Vallotton, also several drawings from Paul Klee). International artists are hidden in level -1 ... Unfortunately the texts and movie are not translated (only German) and entrance fee is a bit expensive (24.00CHF for 2hours max, including temporary exhibition and coffee).
Tiny but precious permanent collection and interesting temporary exhibitions
