Very nice place to stay, very close to the center of Interlaken. The place is nice and comfy, well decorated, close to the amazing ski resort of Grindelwald. We were really happy to relax in the jacuzzi after a great day of ski. The staff is kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend !

I spent just one night but at first glance Balmers Hostel is a cool place to stay some days more. Everything sounds a little bit "vintage", not only the stylish furniture and wall decoration, but the premise itself, since it is one of the oldest accommodation in Interlaken. But, trust me, you will find anything you need, clean shower room, lockers and the best mattresses I ever found during my backpacker's trips. Worth the price, fully! Enjoy Balmer's and its wonderful staff!
Staff really cool and friendly. Nice place to stay and beautiful meeting. This hostel is amazing spa, terrace, kitchen and sofa, area for chill hamac and more. Just go there by yourself and you will realize the real good choice unfightable price prestations...
Very nice and clean hostel. All the facilities are there; jacuzzi, big kitchen, nice garden and staff. But honestly this is not a party hostel. I felt more like its a hostel with a bed and a shower and that’s it. I was travelling alone but didn’t meet anyone and nothing was being organized in order to make it a ‘party hostel’ the place was pretty much dead after 22:00.
Amazing experience staying here. We stayed here for 3nts 4 days but I felt was very less when u see the beauty of this hostel and surrounding areas. Such a lovely place to be with. They have kitchen facility to cook ur own food and u can also store it but be carefull as u need to put sticker on ur food items like ur room no and the check in n check out date. This hostel has their own adventure activities you can book any adventure activity in advance with them. Also need to add I have seen family with kids and elders staying here so this hostel just not for youth. You get free breakfast here
I had greatly enjoyed my stay at Balmers. The place is so big and so full of fun. They have musical instruments for the ones who can play, a big kitchen, laundry, an ATM, a night club (underground), cozy bunk beds, and beautiful views. A bus stop is right outside the hostel. Plus, the staff is so helpful. If I ever go back to Interlaken, I'm definitely staying at this place.
Stayed there in 1992. Arrived and it was quite busy. We were set up outside -ish. Like a covered patio type thing. The next night we were moved upstairs. It is one one my strongest memories from my European travels that year. Looking it up brings me back.
