The chocolates weren't amazing like we thought they would be honestly and although the story behind the business is nice, we had a lot of issues with the payment. I paid ahead of time online for the tasting and the making. On top of being extremely expensive for what the experience was, they tried to charge us twice. I brought it up to the manager and worker that were there and they said we hadn't paid yet, but then I showed them the confirmation email I had received and they still said they hadn't recieved it. We ended up paying again and later looked back at the credit card statement and the charge was recieved back when I had originally booked the sessions. We went back later and showed them, and they said they would refund one of the charges. We looked at our credit card statement a couple weeks later and both charges were still there neither one refunded so we had to dispute the charge. This absolutely should not have happened. It made the whole experience horrible and we would never go back. Yes the chocolate is good but we've had very good chocolate other places as well and for a lot cheaper. Overall really disappointed with the whole thing and it just ended up feeling like a tourist trap. Expensive and subpar. Also just a warning for people to watch for the double charging problems.

Excellent service and lot of options to choose from depending on one's tastes and preferences. The icecreams are also something to try out at this place. The price isn't that different compared to that in other icecream stores in the city, but it's really served with the ambience and taste of a posh dining restaurant.

A totally new experience of chocolate. _ Very friendly service and adaptive consulting for all chocolate types. They also have vegan chocolate pralines and other vegan products made of chocolate. A must visit when walking through Lucerne. :)

My boyfriend and I decided to book a chocolate tasting experience at Max in Lucerne for our first anniversary. We had an incredibly memorable time learning about Max Chocolatier as a company, how they source their ingredients/the process of their chocolate making, and about Max himself! The experience of tasting the chocolates themselves was beyond words! We want to thank the lovely Max Chocolatier expert who conducted our tasting experience for us. I brought home the gift of Max truffles for my parents in America, to which they said, \this is the best chocolate we've ever tasted!\ Thank you Max Chocolatier for a lovely experience!
