I did one semester of Italian A1 course. Teachers attitude and the way they teach are top notch and that is all for good stuff. I had 3-4 different teachers, which in the first place, in my opinion shouldn't take place, if so, the cooperation should be smooth and transparent. Instead our group ended up with covering the same topics in different lessons. In the middle of the semester 6 new persons joined our group - as it was later discovered they were just starting the journey with the italian language. Teachers needed to maneuver to not go too advanced with the vacabulary but on the other hand, do not make it boring for people who started 2 month earlier. In my opinion - completly lack of respect for both groups of students. School did not provide the books nor ask to buy. I'm fine with it, as long as school is providing some other materials (in our case it was just pieces of papers). When the lessons moved online due to covid, students were asks to print out the materials for themself - still, I was ok with this one since we have pandemic. What I was not ok with was the fact that materials were sending to the students around 20-40 minutes before the lessons. Eventhough it was communicated by the group to have the materials sent more in advanced before the lesson it was not met by the teachers. In my opinion it is also becuase of the lack of communicating between different teachers that were changing almost every lesson. The organisation/administration have been very, very bad and dissapointing. They mostly don't respond on emails or phones. I've made it once and called administartion which... doesn't speak even medium level english. I really liked the teachers, they were great. That is why I'm giving 2 stars.

I can highly recommend this school Ornalla took a Work Permit course that started in the classroom and had to be completed on line due to Corvid-19 lock down She was able keep the focus on the Course, but made it interesting and a pleasure to be on. I really learnt well for the A1 section. She is a true professional and I would carry on when its possible Thank you all

I booked a 2 week intensive course. I went the first day and saw that we are 7 people packed in a small, unheated room. I believe this is a bad idea due to Covid so I wanted to cancel the course and get a (partial) refund. I called the secretary who asked me to write an email promising she'll get back to me. A week later, she still hasn't, despite me writing a second email. Don't waste your time here. Use online teachers, like on Verbling or Italki. Much better value for money and they don't waste your time.

I did one motnh of intensive course in italian. Teachers are AMAZING! I had 3-4 different teachers, and all of them were Funny, Smart, Intelligent, Great Proffesionals!!! Loved them, BUT... the organisation/administration been very very bad and dissapointing. I tried to switch to private lessons, asked administration several times, several emails, and no results. They mostly don't respond on emails (my emails getting lost is not a case), the forget stuff, they forget your inquary. Reached out again 6 month later... same thing.. Administartion doesn't speak even medium level english, so they misunderstand, mix up and just don't answer on emails with questions, again. Very disapointed!!! Loved the teachers, so wanted to get private lessons again, but same story.. haven't heard back even after the phone call week ago... I never write reviews, but this felt like important to share for the school ILI interests- to improve and change noticably, other wise bed reputation starts to spread around. Good luck!

The teaching involving Stefano and Paula was excellent. Teachers were thorough and care was given to explaining and implementing exercises. Giada was very helpful in arranging my visit. Improvements I would like to see would involve having a library with computers on the premises. As the period was also a holiday for me I would have welcomed the choice of a hotel room as the apartment was very basic. An Internet connection is really essential. Despite these issues I felt I gained a better knowledge of Italian. I hope that ILI is not experiencing too many problems in the current corinavirus crisis. Kind regards, Thomas Morris
