Reservation made in January for a stay in August, I had to cancel for personal reasons in February, more than 6 months before the stay. Despite free cancellation policy, as described in Booking contract, the company refused to reimburse the prepayment, offering a coupon, and will keep the money until August 2022, in the name of solidariy! Then, as I refuse the coupon, and ask to reimburse as per contract, no answer. Very dishonest, and no respect of their agreements, no respect for their potential customers. Really concerned I will ever see my money back one day, and if this company is actually a potential scam.

What I experienced with Happy Holiday Homes is very customer-unfriendly and caused quite some inconvenience for me and I'd like to share it as this may happen also to others who book with them. I booked a holiday home a few month ago through booking.com (Happy Holiday Homes fully manages the booking after completing the reservation). Upon reservation 30% of the price was immediately charged which in understandable and in line with the terms & conditions. A few weeks before the scheduled check-in date, I just wanted to be on the safe side due to the current situation and asked Happy Holiday Homes if still everything is fine with my booking. They informed me then that the property owner cancelled my booking as he wants to block the property for the time being. This is very unpleasant as I have not been proactively informed about this. They offered me a voucher for any other property, but as I couldn't find any other suitable chalet on the homepage and as I don't intend to book the initial property again later this year or next year I asked Happy Holiday Home to refund the already paid amount. In simple words: I just wanted to have refunded the money I already paid upon booking for a stay in a property Happy Holiday Homes cannot fulfil anymore. In the meantime I booked an alternative property with another agency which went very well is fully confirmed. But unfortunately the situation with Happy Holiday Homes remain very cumbersome, time-consuming and nerve-wracking. I had a back and forth exchange with more than 15 e-mails, no clear statements, no chance to speak with the manager. It seems to be obvious that they don't want to refund any money for reasons which could not be explained. I'm still waiting for a feedback, an answer from the management and finally for the refund...

I booked a house through Happy Holiday Homes. All good, nice customer service. Had to pay a large amount on beforehand. Then, at arrival, things were not like they were supposed to be. They offered me a refund and I left, after I booked something else. However, since I left there is a complete radio silence. No refund and no replies to my calls or emails...,

We recently stayed in a Holiday Homes apartment in Chamonix (Grand Roc) and were shocked by the condition of the property. This place is NOT as advertised. We (myself and my girlfriend) have been using Airbnb for many years and never once left a poor review. We consider ourselves flexible people, but this was just a joke. For starters, it looks much bigger in the photos than it really is. A wide angle photo lens has been VERY generously used to take those photos. The place is in fact tiny, with a prison-like toilet (and separate) shower space that you can hardly turn around in. Light switches are difficult to find and lighting is minimal. Upstairs there are only a couple lamps, no proper lights. Upon arriving we discovered that there was no running water and the toilet didn’t flush at ALL. There were wires and nails hanging out of some areas of the wall, dirty cups (hadn’t been cleaned properly!) and dirty patches on the wall. We were obviously dismayed after a long journey there and arranged alternative accommodation for the following day as soon as possible. The following morning we dropped by the Happy Homes HQ to return our keys and politely discuss the situation. We were met by an aggressive, cold, unfriendly woman who was not helpful in the slightest and rolled her eyes at us. She was dismissive and essentially shrugged the situation off without so much as a smile or sincere apology. We were told by another source that these complaints (especially “it looks nothing like the photos!”) are heard here very frequently. Again, we have never once left a bad review in all our time using Airbnb but wholeheartedly believe this one is completely warranted and fair. We sincerely do NOT recommend this place and urge you to save your precious time and money by looking elsewhere.

The property manager cancelled our reservation 2 weeks before travel day and refuses to refund us. I booked one the homes that Happy Holiday Homes manages through VRBO to stay in for several days. The property manager CANCELLED our reservation 2 weeks before our travel date and refuses to give us our money back. Again, We didn't cancel the reservation, the property manager did and they are refusing to refund us. They will \allow\ us to rebook their property in the future, but no refunds. VRBO/HomeAway also will not refund us either and are telling us to go through the property manager for a refund. I haven't been able to get any support from them on this as their policy is to just hang up on customers counting on the fact that they won't call back and go through the hour long process to get a support person on the phone and if you do go through it all again, they just hang up on you anyways.

Last month, my husband and I organised a weekend in Lugano and we decided to stay in the centre of the city. In the end, we booked “Lugano Luxury” as it met all of our needs. Even though it was centrally located, we had peace and quiet! We loved the design of the house and all the furnishings – the owner obviously takes great pride in their home. It was sunny most days, so we took full advantage of the private garden and just sat back and enjoyed watching the surroundings. We really fell in love with Lugano and the area and it was perfect, because we had Lugano Luxury to stay in. We hope to return in the next year or so. Thank you, Happy Holidays!!

This weekend we stayed in Chamonix for the first time. The guys there were very nice, and they gave us some welcome advice because on Sunday it was snowing. It’s a really great place and we will surely be back during this winter: can’t wait to eat a raclette again!!

First of all we booked a place for 7 and we only found 5 bed and a couch as a bed so thats 6?. And it only have one bathroom, which get flooded every time you use it. Also half the light doesn't work.
