Hotel de la Paix is a lovely hotel! You step inside the front door and you're immediately taken by the beautiful lobby and its serene elegance. I was most fortunate to have a room on the front of the building and Lausanne lays out in front of you with such beautiful majesty and the lake beyond will take your breath away! My room was most comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was large and nicely appointed with delightful bath products and GIANT towels...so decadent!! The breakfast buffet is quite a spread and filled with something for everyone. It was certainly delicious and satisfying. Also quiet...which is most welcome in the morning as no one wants to hear someone else's conversation... Very civilized and very appreciated!! A most delightful experience at a most civilized and discerning hotel! Thank you, Hotel de la Paix!!

Central location in Losanne, possible to drop a car, nice view to the lake. Clean, well prepared room. Breakfast can be better but for one day traveller it is not important.
I had a great experience here. Air conditioning! All the staff were helpful. I was surprised how large the rooms are, based on what's normal for EU. There's a mini-fridge available for use, so you can grab local items and stock yourself if budget is a concern. The location is great for touring Old Town, and near transit to get to other areas. It helps they provide a free transportation card. Be warned: you are near shopping, so be prepared to spend...or at least window-shop! Only 2 small items: My hot water lost heat only 5 minutes into my shower, but since I was just finished, I didn't address it. Also, no coffee supplies, so you have to leave your room for that first hit of caffeine. Other than these 2 things, I was completely pleased. Caution: I didn't expect the 100 CHF hold, so thought I they made a mistake. It was quickly cleared up at checkout, and the amount modified, so no issues for me.
Nice hotel in the middle of Lausanne. Service was good. Breakfast spread could have been better.
Pleasant and spacious. If you get the lakeview room the scenery is quite nice. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Staff is friendly and courteous but service can be a bit slow.
An excellent hotel with lots of services such as free transportation pass, you can eat at the restaurant and drink at the bar!
I stumbled onto this hotel during a heavy rain storm one night in July when I decided to stop overnight in Lausanne even though I had no hotel reservation and it was well after dark. I sat in the car outside, made my hotel reservation, and walked inside to claim my room. The desk staff was very helpful and gave me a spacious room that overlooked Lake Geneva. When I woke up the next morning the low storm clouds still hung above but it was clear below so I could see the Lake and the mountains in the distance. It could not have been better as a way to enjoy my one night in Switzerland.
Nice location just 10min from train station ( I recommend to use the taxi if you got a huge baggage ) surrounding with restaurants and cafe’
