First we had to wait to be seated at the entrance. All the staff were running around until finally someone noticed us. Then we were completely ignored until we had to call someone to get our order, which was then forgotten. I tried to tell the waitress, as we waited already for quite a while and obviously something might have gone wrong with our order because people who arrived after us already got theirs. But she did not even care to check, just told us to wait. We finally decided to leave after half an hour of waiting, as we didn’t feel welcomed there anymore. I was looking forward to having a good time at the hotel's terrace, but ended up wasting more than half an hour for nothing. The service was badly organized and chaotic. No one knows what to do. I would not complain if there were only one person in charge, but there were at least four staff members in the same area. They simply failed to manage their work correctly. Tables were not cleared, orders were forgotten and customers were ignored.

Service is not always very performing, but the restaurant is still a must for its ice cream desserts. Very large choice, regularly changing. For coffee and ice cream lovers, I recommand some kind of iced coffee (cold brew maple walnut is original and good). Prices are very normal (or average) for Switzerland.
I checked-in the Mövenpick Hotel for almost two weeks. Since most of the restaurants around closes as early as 1900. Mövenpick restaurant was my place to go for dinner. The food is good. I had Emincé de Veau à la Zurichoise on my first night. It was my first time to try it and I liked it. The veal is tender and the mushroom sauce taste great. But the one really caught my pallets was the rösti potatoes comes with it. I am a potato fan and the rösti was great. The second time I had my dinner here. I found out that they have separate rösti potato menu. I had rösti potato with pollet and it was good too. Also, a must try here is their ice cream! If you want to try 2 flavours get the mini-cone. You'll be able to select 2 flavours for only 5.90CHF! Service wise, the servers are attentive to their customers and friendly. I don't speak French and most of their staffs know how to speak English and it was convenient. Ambiance, is fairly good. Not that cozy.

Excellent service and food. My server, Angelo, was very polite and nicely provided recommendations to help me choose when I was undecided. Also the whole staff is willing to speak in foreign languages to give a good service to all guests. Dinner hours are also extended compared to other restaurants in the area, which is great for business travelers. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent hotel with an awesome Lakeview. They charge some extra to have the lake view . but worth , especially in April to June months. Hospitality is good. Very good service .
