Amazing fondu!! They propose boiled potatoes and dark bread, so, the fondu is not so heavy. Everything is cooked without electricity, impressive! As well, good wine and wonderful landscapes. Wish I'll have a chance to enjoy a meal there again :)

Very small Village I didm’t see any cafe nor restaurant, I probably missed the refuge but there is a water fountain and clean toilettes. I took the cable car from Barboleus to Chaux Ronde where there is a cafe and walked 30 minutes to Taveyanne.

Friendly, excellent wine and traditional raclette on the open fire

Set in a lovely saddle, this summer hamlet has been here for 700 odd years. Very very pretty and the restaurant is a place to bring family and visitors or just to go for a lunch in all weather conditions. Beautiful on a sunny day cosy and intimate inside on a miserable rainy misty day. Cycling there is even better.

If you're looking for an excuse to take a breather mid-hike stop here! It's a short hike from the Les Chaux summit the fondue is definitely worth the stop. Especially if you're from the States...where else can you hike a few hours, indulge in fondue on a lovely mountainside then waddle downhill to grab an ice cream or pastry at the shop in Barbeloues? Exactly...make a point to go here!

Great location to take a break during a hike or bike ride. Try the cornet à la crème!
