St. Pierre Cathedral is one of the most astonishing structures in Geneva. Specifically Old Geneva. It boasts beautiful stained glass windows, intricate decoration, great acoustics, and of course, that lovely smell of centenary wood. It is still a practicing church, so you can attend service between 10am and 11am. Highly recommend!

Over 850 years old and still standing strong over a hill in the old town of Geneva. The towers offer great views over the city!
Beautiful cathedral, but once I went inside I was accosted by a lady with a clipboard who did not speak only gestured to put my personal details and give money. She wouldn't say what for. All I had in my pocket was a couple euros which I tried to offer her but she refused. And then I turned and said \it's money isn't it?\ And then I agreed to just leave. As I walked away I decided to check it out anyway. She wasn't exactly going to stop me. I can confirm it's a cathedral. Nice organ.
The cathedral is beautiful with an interesting history. Spend the five francs to climb the tower - 100% worth every penny. Amazing views and an interesting look at the structure behind the beautiful facades. Both towers are interesting for different reasons. This is a must do in Geneva.
Amazing! This building is of great importance since it was the center of the reformation and transformation of the city of Geneva. It will take you 10 min walk to reach the church from Rue du Marché (main street). Entrance is FREE. However if you want to go to the towers, it will cost you 5 Francs. Visiting with a guide is recommended. I spend there about an hour.
