I visited this restaurant before COVID-19 and I loved it. Excellent food.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Geneva. Authentic and generous portions, must-try tamarindo margarita. Priced on the high side, but in line with Geneva standards
Coming from California, my bar for Mexican restaurants in Geneva was always going to be high. Food is deserving of 3* at best but I’ll happily give this place 4* for the reasons below. What Le Chat Rouge lacks in diversity of tacos (most of them rolled and fried/deep fried, chicken or beef only) it makes up with a good selection of crowd pleasers like enchiladas and fajitas. Portions are ENORMOUS, which is always nice as you know the restaurant isn’t trying to scrimp on margins. The tortillas are crispy and not too salty. The guacamole is chunky and fresh. The salsas are all good though most dishes are served with the same ones, and there’s a sense of repetition there. The tequila and mezcal collection is pretty solid by Swiss standards, though cocktails err on the side of sweet. The interior design is appropriately gaudy and fun, and the soundtrack is Mexican throughout. Last but not least, the service is friendly and efficient. We were served our sharing dishes and mains in 20 minutes tops, and staff happily packed up what we didn’t finish.
Fantastic place, really enjoyed eating here while away on business. Friendly staff and the food was great. Portions are perfect for hungry eaters, with the right balance of spice and flavour, and good value for money in relation to other Geneva restaurants.
We enjoyed our meals but you may be disappointed if you're looking for fine mexican food. Follow our adventures on Instagram @gojiandbear
Great food and cocktails!! However, just one small thing, it would be better to not use plastic straws for the cocktails anymore.
Very good service and food is tasty. Also lots of choices for cocktail drinks. I will definitely recommend.
The fajita tacos Alhambra were quite good. Quac was far better than is usually found on this side of the Atlantic, red salsa was not great (tasted mostly of celery) but the Verde sauce was good and spicy. The Margarita was pretty good, the Sangria was great, using tequila to forify the red wine instead of the brandy I'm used to back home. Overall, from a Texan's perspective, a good mex/tex-mex away from home.
