My fav hidden gem, absolutely lovely place to spend a day in just chilling, the collection is not huge but very well curated! The restaurant is again a hidden gem to enjoy a glass of wine or a lunch on Sunday.

This is a wonderful museum to visit. I would devote about 3 hours to explore it. Unbelievably the visit to the museum is free and the gentleman at the front desk happily informs you of this. I should thank the curators and designers for arranging the works of art and resting places in such a wonderfully strategic locations to allow one to rest from time to time and reflect on the works of art. The audio tour is via an app that you need to download. The city provides you with free Wifi in the musee to download the app. There are 4 levels to explore, but one floor was closed for renovations. There are ancient Roman, Italian, and regional work as well as modern arts such a works of Monet and Van Gogh. There is a nice park right outside the museum to rest under the trees. There is also a nice restaurant in the museum that reportedly is highly rated, but I did not try it Verdict: If in Geneva, spend an afternoon here..a must visit during your stay in this city to get fell of the Swiss art.

This is a large museum storing hundreds of works of art, including pieces from Swiss artists like Hodler and Giacometti. It houses well-known artworks such as the Death of Lucretia and other works I've only seen in textbooks. Entrance is free for the permanent exhibition, and there's also an archaeological exhibit which we didn't visit. You can find a restaurant and garden area beneath the museum.

Great museum with a free admission for the permanent collection. It has archaeological section with Roman and Egyptian artifacts and also a fine arts floor full of paintings from many artists including Van Gogh and Picasso. It also has a very nice restaurant/cafe in the open courtyard where you can rest and have a bite to eat after walking around.

The regal edifice and rich collection of the european fine art as well as historical artefacts, framed by lush green charming garden overlooking Geneva Lake. Not to be missed!
