The rooms are simply exquisite. The entire experience so far is great. I have met three hotel employees and all address me by name. I’d definitely make another trip back here.

Can’t beat location for convenience to shops, Old Town and the lake with buses and trams on your doorstep. Elegant hotel, comfortable bar with all needs met in your hotel room. The free bus ticket for duration of your stay was a brilliant bonus. @ladylongtail
Built in 1854 on the fortifications of the old town, in the heart of Geneva, the 5-star Metropole Geneva offers panoramic lake views, free Wi-Fi and free use of its fitness facilities. All rooms at this non-smoking hotel have a work desk with voice mail, 2 phone lines, Nespresso coffee makers and double glazed windows. Gusto's restaurant serves modern Italian cuisine in an elegant, indoor and outdoor atmosphere, catering to all needs from a fast-action meal to a varied menu for special events. With panoramic views of Lake Geneva, the Metropove Lounge is an inviting place to spend the warm summer evenings, where you can relax, listen to music and enjoy innovative cocktails and light finger foods from 5 pm until late at night. The Old Town is located with its museums and galleries on the left bank of the Rhone River opposite the English Garden, just a short walk away. This is a favorite area of \u200b\u200bGeneva for our guests based on independent assessments. This place is also one of the best rated sites in Geneva! Guests are more than happy to compare with the accommodation in the area.
Always a good place to stay and good service.
The hotel is nice, the rooms are renovated. The service staff is super attentive, just during breakfast some were not really. But that happens. The food from the room service was sadly awful. The rooms are quite small and obviously the hotel is missing some amenities like a pool, but that’s hard to realize due to the old building. The location is superb for getting to know Geneva and just walking around the lake.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! The staff (particularly Adam) made our anniversary a truly exceptional experience. Upon arrival we were invited to experience the incredible view of Geneva the rooftop offers. The LifeStyle room with views of harbour and Jet d'Eau is one of the most well equipped hotel rooms I've stayed in; TV in the mirror, a show that doubles as a hamam, a complimentary smartphone with free international calls that you can take out with you, Nespresso machine, and so much more. The personalised welcome and anniversary congratulations we received when entering the room was only bettered by the beautiful and delicious platter of desserts we were surprised with when we returned to the room in the evening!
Really wonderful stay here. The room was tiny, but this is Europe so there you go. Aside from that, it was really comfy, super clean and stylish, had a really good bathtub and shower, and very comfortable beds. What made our stay really nice was how kind and accommodating the staff was. The concierge helped us out multiple times, setting up train tickets for us (which we found confusing), and making dinner recommendations and reservations for us on the spot. The bartender made us feel like family, and the restaurant staff was protective of us when a guy at the table next to us was acting a little off. We really felt appreciated and at home here. Next, the location is really good- it's right next to the lake, and a two minute meander from the old town which is gorgeous. The city is relatively small and this hotel is pretty much in the middle so anything we needed was very easy and enjoyable to walk to. Love Geneva, and loved this hotel. :)
Nice bar for cocktails and pretty view of Geneva lake
