Global Action Against Mass Atrocity Crimes (GAAMAC) is a global network of states and civil society organizations acting as a platform for the prevention of mass atrocity crimes (genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing). The network provides a unique and welcoming space for states that wish to develop national policies and mechanisms for the prevention of mass atrocity crimes. GAAMAC does so by facilitating an exchange of information and experience, trusted peer-to-peer support and provision of expertise with partners from government, regional and international organizations, civil society and academia. Since 2013, GAAMAC is guided by a Steering Group composed of states, non-governmental and academic organizations. GAAMAC's partners work on the ground to advance concrete initiatives together with policy makers, journalists, elected officials and diplomats for the prevention of mass atrocity crimes. GAAMAC is open to all states and organizations that support the mission and principles of GAAMAC. Any state or organization wishing to become part of the Steering Group or a partner may contact the GAAMAC Support Office, which was established in 2017 and is located in Geneva. Its email address is [email protected].
