On a Sunday With poor weather... you need to learn stuff about history. We did visit this castle , the one from finance minister of Louis 16: mr Necker where his daughter Mme de Stael used to live and have a famous salon with celebrities. We were lucky because our guide was very interesting. She showed us the rooms on the ground and 1st floor and explained the most interesting things about this famous lady, so well that our kids listened to her, captivated. 45 mn visite and you are happy! Beautiful and entertaining

Loved it! Gentleman who assisted us was friendly and knowledgeable and spoke English very well. Museum and its history as well as the history of the family were incredibly interesting. We spent 45 min just in the house. Be sure you have time for the gardens. About two blocks from public beach.
The entrance garden is really welcoming: on sunny days, you won't regret sipping a coffee from there before or after the visit to the château !

Beautiful Chateau, inside and out.
Very pretty candy floss coloured castle rising above Coppet. There are sporadic guided tours which are good when there is one.
