The conversion (electricity – methanol – electricity) is CO2-neutral; the storage of electricity with the use of methanol has the same efficiency (85%) as lithium batteries. Compared to traditional car engines neither catalytic systems nor diesel particle filters are necessary 2. The electricity can be converted into chemical energy in the form of methanol. M99 can be stored and transported over long distances using existing distribution channels. High-voltage power lines involving a high degree of loss are no longer required 3. Consumers obtain electricity directly from the Econimo converters when they actually need it. In the mobility sector, electric vehicles can be operated with M99 instead of batteries. M99 drives military tanks, construction machinery or agricultural equipment. With lithium batteries you can never propel harvesters, helicopters or airplanes! 4. Apart from batteries, only the Econimos can provide full power output within seconds and bridge interruptions of photovoltaic production caused by clouds 5. Unlike today, where the consumer is supplied with electricity from the power grid, petrol from petrol stations and heating oil and natural gas from other networks, only one logistics system is required for all these different energy needs.
